Removal And Installation-Rear Power Outlet: Removal
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE

- Open the cover (1a) for the power outlet.
- Engage the (special tool #9857, Remover, Power Outlet) tool (2a), in the recesses (2b) of the cigarette lighter seat (2c) the carefully remove the power outlet seat itself. When removing the power outlet socket (2c) its ridge (2d) must slide in the slot of the housing (2e).
- Disconnect the power outlet wire harness connector (2a) and remove the cigarette lighter.
- If necessary, release the retainers (1d) and remove the ring (1a). Note the position of the tooth (1c) in the housing (1b).
