Variable Valve Timing Electromagnets In Intake Exhaust Timing System
REMOVAL
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
- Disconnect the electrical connection for the variable valve timing electromagnet, intake side.
- Undo the screw (2a) and remove the variable valve timing electromagnet (2b), intake side, with O-ring.
- Disconnect the electrical connection for the variable valve timing electromagnet, exhaust side.
- Undo the screw (2a) and remove the variable valve timing electromagnet (2b), exhaust side, with O-ring.
INSTALLATION
- Place the variable valve timing electromagnet in its housing, exhaust side (1a), with new Oring, then tighten the screw (1b) to the prescribed torque.

- Place the variable valve timing electromagnet in its housing, intake side (1a), with new Oring, then tighten the screw (1b) to the prescribed torque.

- Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery terminal.
