With the engine running, the Intake O2 Sensor at operating temperature, pump cell active. When the PCM detects the Intake O2 Pump Cell Current Trim circuit has fallen outside the allowable range during O2 Sensor closed loop operation, a Hot test is initiated. If an open circuit is detected the specific circuit which failed can be identified.
