Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
- CHECK FOR A BODY CONTROL MODULE DTC
- With the scan tool, check for the presence of DTCs in the Body Control Module.
Are there any DTCs present in the Body Control Module?
Yes
- Continue as instructed by the scan tool.
No
- Go To 3
- With the scan tool, check for the presence of DTCs in the Body Control Module.
- CHECK THE CAN LINE WIRING CONTINUITY
- Check for an open circuit between the of Body Control Module and the Powertrain Control Module.
Is there presence of an open on the CAN Line?
Yes
- Restore the correct continuity of the CAN Line.
No
- End of diagnosis
- Check for an open circuit between the of Body Control Module and the Powertrain Control Module.
