  1. A.-

    Key Information 

    Do the following before starting your work.

    Remove:

    Removal/Installation 

    NOTICE: 

    Do not bend the flex tube (a) of the under-floor three way catalytic converter excessively. (Figure 1)

    Installation 

    • When replacing the under-floor three way catalytic converter, remove the protector (b) from a new under-floor three way catalytic converter. (Figure 2)

    Removal 

    NOTE:  Due to the high temperatures of the exhaust system, the exhaust nuts, studs, and bolts may seize preventing easy removal. If you encounter a seized condition, do the following.

    • Apply rust penetrant to the nut/stud or bolt.
    • Allow the penetrant to sit. The amount of time may vary.
    • Lightly tap the nut/stud or bolt with a hammer.
    • Slowly loosen the nut or bolt.
    • If the nut or bolt still will not loosen, repeat steps 1 to 4.

    Installation 

    • Installing the front warm up three way catalytic converter and the front WU-TWC bracket in the following procedures.

    Tightening Procedure

    1 Temporarily Tighten All Bolts and Nuts -> ->
    2 Tighten All Bolts and Nuts -> ->
