NOTICE:
Do not bend the flex tube (a) of the under-floor three way catalytic converter excessively. (Figure 1)

- When replacing the under-floor three way catalytic converter, remove the protector (b) from a new under-floor three way catalytic converter. (Figure 2)

Sub-Procedure
Removal
NOTE: Due to the high temperatures of the exhaust system, the exhaust nuts, studs, and bolts may seize preventing easy removal. If you encounter a seized condition, do the following.
- Apply rust penetrant to the nut/stud or bolt.
- Allow the penetrant to sit. The amount of time may vary.
- Lightly tap the nut/stud or bolt with a hammer.
- Slowly loosen the nut or bolt.
- If the nut or bolt still will not loosen, repeat steps 1 to 4.
Installation
- Installing the front warm up three way catalytic converter and the front WU-TWC bracket in the following procedures.
