NOTICE:
- Refer to the Fuel and Emissions Systems Service Precautions before doing the procedure.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS. If any of the following DTCs are indicated, troubleshoot the indicated DTCs. If the PGM-FI system's DTC and the body electrical system's DTC are indicated at the same time, troubleshoot the PGM-FI system's DTC first.

- Fuel Gauge Sending Unit - Test
Preconditions
- DTC P0462 or P0463 not indicated.
- DTC B1175 or B1176 not indicated.
- Fuel Tank Unit Removed
Procedure/Specifications
1. Confirm that the resistance at the following terminals changes smoothly by moving the float.
Measurement Terminal
Fuel tank unit 4P connector (male terminals): No. 2 - No. 4 Specifications
Object Specification Float Resistance changes smoothly 2. Measure the resistance between the following terminals with each position.

Fuel tank unit 4P connector (male terminals): No. 2 - No. 4 Specifications
Specification a 182.9 mm (7.201 in) 19-21 Ohm b 91.7 mm (3.610 in) 201.5-211.5 Ohm c 30.0 mm (1.181 in) 509.6-635.1 Ohm Specification d 12.3 mm (0.484 in) 772.0-788.0 Ohm Result
- If the measurement is not within specifications, replace the fuel gauge sending unit .
- Gauge Control Module - Test
Preconditions
- DTC P0462 or P0463 not indication.
- DTC B1175 or B1176 not indication.
- "Fuel Gauge Sending Unit - Test" is completed and has tested normal.
- Fuel Tank Unit Removed
- Fuel tank unit 4P connector Connected
Procedure/Specifications
1. Move the float to (a), then turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
Specifications
Position b 182.9 mm (7.201 in) 2. Check the pointer of the fuel gauge displayed on the gauge control module.
Specifications
Specification The pointer of the fuel gauge indicate "F" Result
- If it is abnormal, replace the gauge control module .
