The steering wheel switch garnish and the steering wheel lower garnish can be removed without removing the steering wheel.

Do the following before starting your work.

- Install the harness (a) as shown. (Figure 1) (With heated steering wheel)
NOTE:- If the original steering body cover (b) will be reinstalled, remove the original adhesive tape from the steering body cover and apply the new adhesive tape (c) to the harness. (Figure 1)
- If the original steering wheel will be reinstalled, remove the original adhesive tape from the harness and apply the new adhesive tape to the harness.

If you are replacing the driver's airbag after a deployment, refer to Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment - Refer to: Airbag and Tensioner Disposal or SRS Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment for a complete list of other parts that must also be replaced.
