DTC U01B0 : PGM-FI-Battery Sensor LIN Communication Error
General Description
The local interconnect network (LIN) line connects the 12 volt battery sensor and the powertrain control module (PCM). If the PCM does not receive signals from the 12 volt battery sensor within its specified amount of time, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Malfunction Threshold
Either one of the conditions is met for at least 5 seconds:
- Abnormality on LIN communication.
- No answer back on LIN communication.
Possible Cause
The causes shown may not be a complete list of all potential problems, and it is possible that there may be other causes.
- 12 volt battery sensor LIN(BATT_SENSOR) line open
- 12 volt battery sensor LIN(BATT_SENSOR) line short to power
- 12 volt battery sensor LIN(BATT_SENSOR) line short to ground
- 12 volt battery sensor failure (include fuse fall-outs)
- PCM internal circuit failure

Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the MIL comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, the freeze data, and the on-board snapshot are stored in the PCM memory.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, the freeze data, and the on-board snapshot can be cleared with the scan tool clear command.
