IAT sensor 1 Functional Inspection

Preconditions 

• Engine is cold condition (ambient temperature)

Test Procedure 

• Procedure
• • Note the ambient temperature.
  • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
  • Quickly note the HDS [IAT Sensor (1)].
  • Compare the HDS [IAT Sensor (1)] value to the recorded ambient temperature.

• Normal Conditions
• • -

    The difference between the HDS [IAT Sensor (1)] value and the ambient temperature is less than 5.4 deg.F (3 deg.C)  .

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with MAF sensor/IAT sensor 1.
