Confirmation Procedure

Perform the following procedures in order. If the failure is duplicated, the confirmation procedure is completed.

• Procedure 1
• • Start the engine.
  • Hold the engine speed at 3, 000 rpm without load (CVT in P or N, M/T in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle at least 8 seconds.

• Procedure 2
• • Test-drive the vehicle for several minutes in the same range of the recorded on-board snapshot parameters shown below:

    Vehicle Speed

    REL TP Sensor

    CLV (calculated load value)

    APP Sensor

  • Monitor the HDS [OBD STATUS (PGM-FI) ] for DTC P0236.
