DTC Advanced Diagnostics: P2B08, P2B09, P2B0A, P2B0B (1.5L Engine)
DTC P2B08: No. 1 Cylinder Injector (Split injection control monitoring)DTC P2B09: No. 2 Cylinder Injector (Split injection control monitoring)DTC P2B0A: No. 3 Cylinder Injector (Split injection control monitoring)DTC P2B0B: No. 4 Cylinder Injector (Split injection control monitoring)
General Description
The powertrain control module (PCM) drives the injector circuit according to the injection command output from the CPU. During the split injection, the PCM monitors whether the driving status of the injector circuit is controlled as the injection command. If the injector is not driven as the timing of the commanded one for a specified time, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Malfunction Threshold
The injector fault counter reaches 30 times or more.*
*: The injector fault counter counts up when the driving status of injector circuit is not driven as the timing of the commanded one during quick warm-up system operation.

- PCM internal circuit failure
Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected during the first drive cycle, a Pending DTC is stored in the PCM memory. If the malfunction returns in the next (second) drive cycle, the MIL comes on and a Confirmed DTC, the freeze data, and the on-board snapshot are stored.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, the freeze data, and the on-board snapshot can be cleared with the scan tool clear command.
