EPS Control Unit Inspection
NOTE:
Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.
Test Procedure
EPS control unit reception signal inspection
- Procedure

- Raise and support the vehicle, and allow all wheels to rotate freely.
- Turn off the VSA function by using the VSA OFF switch.
- Run the vehicle for 30 seconds or more while in the 4th gear (M/T) or in the D position/mode (CVT).
- Confirm the HDS [Vehicle Speed] value.
- Normal Conditions

- Indicated value shows vehicle's actual speed.
Results
- If it is normal, there is a problem with the EPS control unit.
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the PCM.
