ACURA MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
Acura Maintenance Program is the new complimentary maintenance program offered to retail clients on all new and eligible Acura vehicles starting with Model Year 2023. This program is subject to end at AHM's discretion.
- Retail vehicles under this program will be provided, on a complimentary basis, certain scheduled services as recommended by the vehicle's Maintenance Minder system or otherwise as set forth within the Owner's Manual.
- The maintenance minder services A and B with a possible add-on 1 (Tire Rotation) are covered under this plan. These scheduled maintenance services include oil changes with a multipoint inspection, oil filters, and tire rotations.
- All submitted Acura Maintenance Program Claims are subject to debit.
- Acura Maintenance Program expires at either two (2) years or 24,000 miles
(whichever occurs first) after the date of first use (DOFU) as determined by the Retail Delivery Record (RDR).
- Plan expires upon the vehicle title being changed to "salvaged" or similar, regardless of age or mileage.
- Additional maintenance costs and/or any unused services at the time of plan expiration or salvage title are forfeited.
- All maintenance must be performed using Acura Genuine Motor Oil & Parts.
- Plan is only valid at participating Acura dealers located within the United States. Vehicles purchased outside of the U.S. are not eligible for this plan.
- Acura Maintenance Program eligibility is assigned at the time of the new vehicle RDR. Eligibility follows the VIN and a vehicle will retain this status for the plan period, regardless of ownership changes.
- Dealerships are not eligible to redeem Acura Maintenance Program services of in-stock, demo, or Acura Courtesy Loaner vehicles in or out of their inventory.
- Acura Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) are not eligible for this plan.
- Any vehicles sold or used (at the discretion of AHM) for commercial fleet, rental, taxi or livery, are not eligible under this plan.
ACURA MAINTENANCE PROGRAM CLAIM REIMBURSEMENT
Unless otherwise expressly prohibited under applicable laws, a state average labor rate and flat rate labor times will be used in calculating reimbursements for Acura Maintenance Program claims. All Genuine Acura Parts used for the program will be reimbursed at MSRP. Acura Genuine Motor Oil will be reimbursed based on the actual quantity needed for the vehicle as identified in the Owner's Manual at AHM Bulk Oil MSRP rates. Only the oil grade required for the vehicle will be reimbursed. Any upgrades in oil will be the responsibility of the dealer or customer.
Acura Maintenance Program claim reimbursement is only eligible at participating Acura Dealerships using Acura Genuine Parts. Reimbursement will not occur if:
- Client provides the oil or oil filter.
- Client requests anything other than Acura Genuine Parts be used.
- Client only requests partial maintenance (for example, declining the oil change but wanting a tire rotation) that contradicts the scheduled maintenance services, as determined in the Maintenance Minder System.
- Incorrect labor operation number (LON) used.
For claim reimbursement, a dealer must use the LON 1100A5 for Maintenance Minder A service and LON 1100A6 for Maintenance Minder B service. Furthermore, the A add-on must also be used for corresponding tire rotation services. The correct LON input covers all corresponding scheduled maintenance services.
WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION
| LON | Description | Flat Rate Time |
|---|---|---|
| 1100A5 | Maintenance Minder Service A | 0.3 hr |
| 1100A5A | Maintenance: Add-on Tire Rotation | 0.3 hr |
| 1100A6 | Maintenance Minder Service B | 0.3 hr |
| 1100A6A | Maintenance: Add-on Tire Rotation | 0.3 hr |
REPAIR ORDER PAY TYPE
Dealers must use the Warranty Pay type when closing Acura Maintenance Program Repair Orders. A Repair Order closure that contains both the Warranty Pay and the correct Acura Maintenance Program operation code will prepopulate a claim in the iN.
IMPORTANCE OF RETAIL DELIVERY RECORD
During the sales RDR process, Acura Maintenance Program eligibility is determined at RDR date transmittal and not solely based on the retail date of the vehicle. Proper sales reporting practices at every dealership ensures that eligible customers receive the Acura Maintenance Program, along with pertinent information regarding plan benefits, regardless of dealership participation in the Acura Maintenance Program.
DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS
All documentation and repair substantiation requirements (as outlined in the Service Operations Manual) apply to Acura Maintenance Program.
