Vehicle - Lift
Hood - Wide Open - Refer to: Engine Removal and Installation(3.0L Engine) or Engine Removal and Installation(2.0L Engine)
12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect
Front Wheel - Remove
- Front Wheel - Refer to: Front Brake Area(3.0L Engine) or Front Brake Area(2.0L Engine) (Both Sides)
Engine Undercover - Remove
- Engine Undercover
Front Strut Brace Assembly - Remove
- Front Strut Brace Assembly
Engine Cover - Remove
- Engine Cover - Refer to: Cylinder Head Cover Area(3.0L Engine) or Cylinder Head Cover Area(2.0L Engine)
Front Grille Cover - Remove
- Front Grille Cover
Air Cleaner Housing - Remove

Park Lock - Release - Refer to: How to Release Park Lock or A/T Road Test
Catalytic Converter/Turbocharger Area Parts - Remove

  - Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC)
A/C Condenser Fan Shroud Assembly - Remove
- A/C Condenser Fan Shroud Assembly - Refer to: Radiator Area(2.0L Engine) or Radiator Area(3.0L Engine)
Wire Harness/Connector - Disconnect
- Connector
Engine Support Hanger - Install - Refer to: Engine Support Hanger Installation(2.0L Engine) or Engine Support Hanger Installation(3.0L Engine)
Front Subframe/Steering Gearbox Area Parts - Remove/Disconnect
- Front Subframe/Steering Gearbox Area - Refer to: Front Subframe/Steering Gearbox Area(3.0L Engine) or Front Subframe/Steering Gearbox Area(2.0L Engine)
- - Front Engine Mount Stop
  - Front Engine Mount
  - Rear Engine Mount Stop

Steering Joint - Disconnect

Transfer Assembly Fluid - Drain
Front Subframe/Steering Gearbox Area Parts - Remove/Disconnect

- - Lower Transmission Mount
  - Tie-Rod End Ball Joint (Both Sides)
Front Suspension Area Parts - Remove/Disconnect

- - Lower Stabilizer Link Ball Joint (Both Sides)
  - Lower Arm Ball Joint (Both Sides)
  - Damper Fork (Both Sides)
  - Intermediate Shaft
  - Driveshaft Inboard Joint (Both Sides)
Front Subframe - Remove
- Front Subframe - Refer to: Front Subframe/Steering Gearbox Area(3.0L Engine) or Front Subframe/Steering Gearbox Area(2.0L Engine)
Transmission - Support
- Support the transmission with the transmission jack.
Transfer/Rear Differential Area Parts - Remove/Disconnect
- Transfer/Rear Differential Area
- - Propeller Shaft
  - Transfer Breather Tube
  - Transfer Assembly
All Removed Parts - Install
- Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
Transmission - P Position/Mode - Refer to: How to Release Park Lock or A/T Road Test
12 Volt Battery Terminal - Connect
Transfer Assembly Fluid - Refill
Wheel Alignment - Check
VSA Sensor Neutral Position - Memorize - Refer to: VSA Modulator-Control Unit Update or VSA Sensor Neutral Position Memorization
Millimeter Wave Radar - Aim - Refer to: Millimeter Wave Radar Update or Millimeter Wave Radar Aiming or Millimeter Wave Radar Mounting Position Inspection
