How to Enter Neutral Position Holding Mode: Procedure

NOTE:

This function is automatically canceled about 15 minutes after entering the neutral position holding mode while the engine is stopped.
When the negative terminal of the 12 volt battery is disconnected, the neutral position holding mode is canceled and the vehicle is shifted into the P position/mode.

Neutral Position Holding Mode - Enter
Preconditions
- Vehicle on Level Ground
- All Four Wheels Blocked
Procedure

1. Start the engine.

2. Shift the transmission to N position/mode while pressing the brake pedal.

3. Press and hold the N button again for 2 seconds.

4. Confirm that the message "Neutral Hold Mode ON" is indicated on the gauge control module.

5. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
