A/C Signal Circuit Troubleshooting (3.0L Engine): Inspection
A/C_MG_CLUTCH_RLY_CL- Open Wire Inspection
NOTICE:
Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.
Test Procedure
- Preparation
-
- PCM connector B (72P): disconnected
- Power distribution module connector A (18P): disconnected
- Procedure
-
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.
| (Disconnected)Power distribution module connector A (18P) female terminals | (Disconnected) PCM connector B (72P) - Refer to: PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(3.0L Engine) or PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(2.0L Engine) female terminals | ||||
| IG Mode |
|
|
Normal Conditions | ||
| A/C_MG_CLUTCH_RLY_CL- open wire inspection | OFF | There is less than 1 Ohm | |||
Results
- If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
PCM Inspection
NOTICE:
Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.
NOTE:
Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.
Preconditions
- A/C Compressor Clutch Check is normal
Test Procedure
A/C clutch drive inspection
- Preparation
-
- PCM connector B (72P): disconnected
- Procedure
-
- Jump the PCM connector B (72P) terminal No. 24 and body ground with a jumper wire.
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
| (Disconnected) PCM connector B (72P) - Refer to: PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(3.0L Engine) or PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(2.0L Engine) female terminals | |
|
|
- Normal Conditions
-
- There is a clicking noise from the A/C compressor clutch.
Results
- If it is normal, there is a problem with the PCM.
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.
Power Distribution Module Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining power distribution module is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the power distribution module.
