A/C Signal Circuit Troubleshooting (2.0L Engine): Inspection

ACC [A/C_MG_CLUTCH_RLY_CL-] Open Wire Inspection 

NOTICE: 

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
• • PCM connector E (80P): disconnected
  • Power distribution module connector A (18P): disconnected
• Procedure
• • Perform the inspection according to the following table.

			(Disconnected)Power distribution module connector A (18P) female terminals	(Disconnected) PCM connector E (80P) - Refer to: PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(3.0L Engine)  or PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(2.0L Engine) female terminals

	ACC [A/C_MG_CLUTCH_RLY_CL-] open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm

Results 

• If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

PCM Inspection 

NOTICE: 

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Preconditions 

• A/C Compressor Clutch Check is normal

Test Procedure 

A/C clutch drive inspection

• Preparation
• • PCM connector E (80P): disconnected

• Procedure
• • Jump the PCM connector E (80P) terminal No. 31 and body ground with a jumper wire.
  • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

	(Disconnected) PCM connector E (80P) - Refer to: PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(3.0L Engine)  or PCM Connector for Inputs and Outputs(2.0L Engine) female terminals

• Normal Conditions
• • There is a clicking noise from the A/C compressor clutch.

Results 

• If it is normal, there is a problem with the PCM.
• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.

Power Distribution Module Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining power distribution module is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the power distribution module.
