DTC B12F3: Inspection

VB1, VB2, VB3, IG1, LG1, LG2, IGN_TRX [IGNTRx] Circuit Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
• 1. -

     TCM connector A (23P): disconnected

  2. -

     Body control module connector G (32P): disconnected

• Procedure
• 1. -

     Perform the inspection according to the following table.

	VB1 circuit inspection	OFF			12 V battery voltage[circuit type 1]
	VB2 circuit inspection	OFF			12 V battery voltage[circuit type 1]
	VB3 circuit inspection	OFF			12 V battery voltage[circuit type 1]
	IG1 circuit inspection	ON			12 V battery voltage[circuit type 1]
	LG1 open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
	LG2 open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
	IGN_TRX [IGNTRx] open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohm
	NOTE: Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
	IGN_TRX [IGNTRx] shorted to ground inspection	OFF			Not shorted

Results 

• If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

  NOTE:  If the power supply inspection of the above table showed abnormally, do the additional Power Supply Inspection , to locate the failure.

TCM Inspection 

NOTE:  Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, troubleshooting is performed using a known-good component.

Test Procedure 

• Install a known-good TCM and attempt to reproduce the failure.

Results 

• If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
• If the symptom/DTC goes away, the TCM must be faulty.

Body Control Module Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining body control module is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the body control module.
