Speaker Test: Test

How to use this manual .

1. Front Center Speaker, Front Door Speaker (9 cm), Rear Door Speaker, Satellight Speaker - Test

   Preconditions 

   • Front Center Speaker Removed
   • Front Door Speaker (9 cm) Removed
   • Rear Door Speaker Removed
   • Satellight Speaker Removed

   Procedure/Specifications 

   Specifications 

   Specification
   About 2 Ohm

   Result 

   • If the measurement is not within specifications, replace the speaker:
     1. -

        Front Center Speaker

     2. -

        Front Door Speaker (9 cm)

     3. -

        Rear Door Speaker

     4. -

        Satellight Speaker

2. Front Door Speaker (17 cm) - Test

   Preconditions 

   • Front Door Speaker (17 cm) Removed

   Procedure/Specifications 

   Specifications 

   Specification
   About 2 Ohm

   Result 

   • If the measurement is not within specifications, replace the front door speaker (17 cm).
3. Tweeter - Test

   Preconditions 

   • Tweeter Removed

   Procedure/Specifications 

   • Measure the resistance between terminal No. 1 and the outside terminal of the capacitor (A).
   NOTE: Also visually check the capacitor for damage.

   Specifications 

   Specification
   About 2 Ohm

   Result 

   • If the measurement is not within specifications, replace the tweeter.
4. Roof Speaker - Test

   Preconditions 

   • Roof Speaker Removed

   Specifications 

   Specification
   About 4 Ohm

   Result 

   • If the measurement is not within specifications, replace the roof speaker.
5. Subwoofer - Test

   Preconditions 

   • Trunk Upper Trim Panel Removed
   • Subwoofer Connector Disconnected

   Procedure/Specifications 

   Specifications 

   Specification
   About 4 Ohm

   Result 

   • If the measurement is not within specifications, replace the subwoofer .
