    Key Information 

    Do the following before starting your work.

    Remove: 

    • Trunk Open Coil Spring

    Sub-Procedure 

    Removal 

    Open and close the trunk lid after removing the trunk lid support strut (a) while holding it by hand.

    NOTE:

    The trunk lid support strut must be removed together with the ball stud (b). (If the trunk lid support strut joint (c) is removed form the ball stud, replace it with a new one.)

    Installation 

    • When installing a new one, attach the ball stud to the body and then push the trunk lid support strut joint into the ball stud.
      NOTE:

      Make sure that the joint is securely set. Do not pull the joints strongly.
