NOTE: Be careful when handling the master cylinder. Do not hold it at the piston, or the piston may separate from the body. If the piston separates from the body, then the master cylinder must be replaced. Do not reinsert the piston back into the master cylinder body.■ After Installation
- Brake System Bleeding - Refer to: Brake System Inspection and Test or Conventional Brake System Bleeding
- Brake Pedal and Brake Pedal Position Switch Adjustment
- Brake Drag Check
- Spin the wheels to check for brake drag.
- Brake Fluid Drained
- D.NOTE: Before removing the 12 volt battery, open the driver's door, and wait 3 minutes or more. Do not turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

NOTE:- Do not damage or drop the VSA modulator-control unit as it is sensitive.
- Do not use power tools when removing/installing the VSA modulator-control unit.
• Installation
- Connect the brake lines according to the following table.

- Brake System Bleeding - Refer to: Brake System Inspection and Test or Conventional Brake System Bleeding
- Keyless Access System Registration (Only for Replacing VSA Modulator-Control Unit)
- VSA Modulator - Control Unit Update - Refer to: VSA Sensor Neutral Position Memorization or VSA Modulator-Control Unit Update (If the VSA modulator - control unit does not have the latest software)
- VSA Modulator - Control Unit After Installation Check
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- Apply and release the parking brake 2 times, then make sure that the brake system indicator (red) goes OFF.NOTE: If the brake system indicator (red) does not go OFF, check for poor connection at the VSA modulator-control unit connector.
- VSA Sensor Neutral Position Memorization - Refer to: VSA Sensor Neutral Position Memorization or VSA Modulator-Control Unit Update
