Confirmation Procedure

Perform the following procedures in order. If the failure is duplicated, the confirmation procedure is completed.

• Procedure 1
  1. Start the engine.
  2. Hold the engine speed at 3000 RPM without load (in P or N) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.
  3. Do the HDS [ DI Fuel Pressure Test ].
  4. If the HDS [ DI Fuel Pressure Test ] result is not OK, the failure is duplicated.

• Procedure 2
  1. Test-drive the vehicle for several minutes in the same range of the recorded on-board snapshot parameters shown below:
     • Engine Speed
     • Vehicle Speed
     • MAP Sensor (Hi Res)
     • TP Sensor
     • APP Sensor
     • ECT Sensor 1
     • IAT Sensor (1)
     • Fuel Pressure Converted From PF Sensor
     • Fuel Pressure Direct Injection System
