Engine Support Hanger Installation: Installation: Procedure
When Removing Oil Pump Chain
- Vehicle - Lift
- Cowl Cover - Remove
- Front Grille Cover - Remove
- Right Front Wheel - Remove
- Engine Undercover - Remove
- Alternator Area Parts - Remove
- Alternator Area
- Drive Belt Auto-Tensioner
- Drive Belt Idler Pulley
- Alternator Area
- Cylinder Head Cover - Remove
- Turbocharger Inlet Joint Pipe - Remove
- Turbocharger Bypass Control Valve Solenoid Pipe B - Remove
- Cam Chain Guide B - Remove
- Cam Chain - Remove
- Engine Support Hanger - InstallNOTE:
- Be careful when working around the windshield.
- Be careful not to damage the hood opener cable when installing the engine support hanger at the front bulkhead.
1. Remove the front damper caps .
2. Install the universal lifting eyelet with a commercially available spacer (A).
NOTE: Make sure the universal lifting eyelet does not interfere with the surrounding parts.3. Install the engine support hanger onto the vehicle as shown.
4. Attach the hook (B) to the slotted hole in the universal lifting eyelet.
5. Tighten the wing nut (C) by hand to support the engine/transmission.
When Removing Transmission
- Vehicle - Lift
- Cowl Cover - Remove
- Engine Cover - Remove
- Front Grille Cover - Remove
- PCM - Remove
- Air Intake Chamber - Remove
- 12 Volt Battery Base - Remove
- Throttle Body Inlet Pipe - Remove
- Throttle Body Inlet Pipe - Refer to: Intercooler Area (2019 - 2020) or Intercooler Area (2021)
- EVAP Canister Purge Valve - Remove
- Engine Support Hanger - InstallNOTE:
- Be careful when working around the windshield.
- Be careful not to damage the hood opener cable when installing the engine support hanger at the front bulkhead.
1. Remove the front damper caps .
2. Remove the harness cover (A) .
3. Remove the ground cables (B) .
5. Install the universal lifting eyelet with a commercially available spacer (D).
NOTE: Make sure the universal lifting eyelet does not interfere with the surrounding parts.6. Install the engine support hanger onto the vehicle as shown.
7. Attach the hook (E) to the slotted hole in the universal lifting eyelet.
8. Tighten the wing nut (F) by hand to support the engine/transmission.
