Rocker Arm Oil Pressure Sensor Inspection

Test Procedure 

• Procedure
  • Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
  • Remove the rocker arm oil pressure sensor (A), and attach the special tools as shown, then attach the rocker arm oil pressure sensor with specified torque to the oil pressure gauge adapter (B).
  • Reconnect the rocker arm oil pressure sensor 3P connector.
  • Do the HDS [ VTEC TEST ].
  • Check the oil pressure while the status of VTEC solenoid valve on the HDS display is OFF.

• Normal Conditions
  • Oil pressure is less than 40 kPa (0.41 kgf/cm ²  , 5.8 psi)  .

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the rocker arm oil pressure sensor.
