DC-DC Converter Inspection

Preconditions

NOTE: This procedure can be done before any other inspections are completed because this test procedure includes all of the following inspection items. However, if this test fails, it will be necessary to continue with each inspection item individually to determine which item failed.

External circuit is normal

Test Procedure

Preparation
- 12 volt battery fan motor 3P connector: disconnected
- PCM connector A (50P) : disconnected
- Alternator 1P connector: disconnected

Procedure

Perform the inspection according to the following table.


		(Disconnected) Alternator 1P connector female terminals
	IG Mode	Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.	Normal Conditions
DC-DC converter internal circuit inspection	OFF		Not shorted

Results

If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the DC-DC converter.
