Shift Lever: Reassembly

NOTE: Refer to the Exploded View as needed during this procedure.

Shift Lock Solenoid - Install

NOTE: Do not wipe off the special grease applied to the area of the shift lever marked with an asterisk (*) when you assemble it.

1. Assemble the solenoid (A), the solenoid plunger (B), and the plunger spring (C).

2. Install the shift lock solenoid (D) by aligning the joint of the solenoid plunger with the tip of the shift lock stop (E).

Shift Lock Unit - Install

1. Install the shift lock unit (A) by aligning four lock tabs (B).

2. Push the pivot pin (C), and turn it clockwise using a hex wrench (D) as shown.

Shift Lock Release - Install

1. Install the shift lock release (A) by aligning the tab (B) with the groove (C).

2. Turn the shift lock release clockwise, until the lock tab (D) locks.

Shift Lever Knob Ring - Install

1. Install the shift lever knob ring (A).

2. Slide the shift lever boot ring (A) over the shift lever knob by aligning the groove (B) with the tab (C), until it snaps on.
