DTC P2827: Line Pressure Solenoid Valve A High Input (DCT)
General Description
Line pressure control solenoid valve is used for line pressure control. A spool in the line pressure control solenoid valve pushes the valve according to the duty cycle that is controlled by the powertrain control module (PCM) (The hydraulic pressure is proportional to the current). The PCM measures the current flowing through the line pressure control solenoid valve, and uses feedback control to compensate for the difference between the actual current and the commanded one. The failure occurs by a short circuit or an intermittent short circuit. If the current detection circuit detects an over current to the driver circuit for a specified duration when the driver circuit of the line pressure control solenoid valve is ON, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

[ ]: HDS Parameter
Malfunction Threshold
Current detection circuit detects an over current to the driver circuit for at least 1 second when the driver circuit of the line pressure control solenoid valve is ON.
Possible Cause
NOTE: The causes shown may not be a complete list of all potential problems, and it is possible that there may be other causes.
- Line pressure control solenoid valve internal circuit short
- PCM GND1 or GND2 line open
- PCM internal circuit failure
Confirmation Procedure
Operating Condition
Start the engine, and wait for at least 1 second.
With the HDS
None.
Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the MIL comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the PCM memory.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command or by disconnecting the 12 volt battery.
