Intake Manifold Removal And Installation: Installation
NOTE: Refer to the Exploded View if needed during this procedure.
- Intake Manifold Base - Install
Install the intake manifold base. Tighten the bolts and nuts sequentially in three steps. Always use a new intake manifold base gasket.
Specified Torque: 22 N.m (2.2 kgf.m, 16 lbf.ft) - Intake Manifold - Install
Install the intake manifold. Tighten the bolts and nuts sequentially in three steps. Always use a new intake manifold gasket.
Specified Torque: 22 N.m (2.2 kgf.m, 16 lbf.ft) - Upper Cover - Install
1. Install the upper cover (A). 2. Tighten the bolts and nuts sequentially in three steps. Always use a new gasket.
Specified Torque: 12 N.m (1.2 kgf.m, 9 lbf.ft) - PCV Hose and Brake Booster Vacuum Hoses - Connect
Connect the PCV hose (A) and the brake booster vacuum hose (B).
- Throttle Body - Install

1. Install the throttle body (A). 2. Tighten the bolts/nuts (B) in a cross pattern in three steps; tighten the bolts/nuts until the bolts/nuts sit on the throttle body, tighten the bolts/nuts until the gasket is compressed and both parts are contacted, tighten the bolts/nuts to specified torque.
3. Connect the throttle body connector (C), the EVAP canister purge valve connector (D), the MAP sensor connector (E), and the EVAP purge hose (F).
- Intake Air Duct - Install
1. Install the intake air duct (A). NOTE: When you tighten the band,refer to the throttle body removal/installation procedure
2. Connect the breather pipe (B).
- Air Cleaner - Install
- Injector Control Module - Install
- Tubes, Hoses, and Connector After Installation - Check
After installation, check that all tubes, hoses, and connectors are installed correctly.
