Navigation cannot control HVAC by voice command
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first .
- If the voice control does not respond with any voice commands, go to Voice control does not work/respond troubleshooting .
- Make sure that the latest navigation software is installed.
- Check for B-CAN DTCs and resolve them before troubleshooting.
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Pressing the TALK button, then give a voice command "Climate control" clearly in a natural speaking voice.
Does the climate control system turn on by the voice command?
YES
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
NO
The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.
- Determine possible failure area (B-CAN circuit, others)
-1. Turn the climate control system to on.
Is the climate control system icon displayed on the ODMD (TM)?
YES
Replace the audio-navigation unit .
NO
Go to step 3.
- Open wire check (B CAN-H line, B CAN-L line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connectors.
NOTE: Eject the disc before disconnecting the audio-navigation unit to prevent damaging the CD/DVD player's load mechanism.
Audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) Climate control unit connector A (28P) -3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Audio-navigation unit connector A (24P): disconnected Climate control unit connector A (28P): disconnected Test circuit B CAN-H Test point 1 Audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) No. 4 (RED) Test point 2 Climate control unit connector A (28P) No. 8 (RED) Test circuit B CAN-L Test point 1 Audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) No. 2 (WHT) Test point 2 Climate control unit connector A (28P) No. 9 (WHT) Is there continuity?
YES
Replace the climate control unit .
NO
Repair an open in the wire (s) between the audio-navigation unit and the climate control unit.
