ATEQ TPMS Reset Procedure

NOTE: When a tire pressure sensor is replaced or tires are rotated, the sensor ID must be memorized by the TPMS control unit.
NOTE: To ensure the control unit memorizes the correct ID, the vehicle with the new sensor must be at least 3 m (10 ft.) away from any other TPMS pressure sensor not installed on that vehicle.
NOTE: If the outside temperature is at or below -40°F (-40°C), the system may not function properly.
NOTE: Misalignment of the control unit and initiators could interfere with sending and receiving signals. Ensure brackets on TPMS control unit and front initiators are not bent.
NOTE: If vehicle's ignition switch is turned OFF before all sensors are memorized, the memorizing ID is canceled.
  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
  2. Set the tire pressure of all wheels to pressure specified on the tire and loading information label.
  3. Select "Reset TPM System" on the TPMS3.
  4. After replacing a tire pressure sensor, use TPMS3 to scan all 4 sensors.
  5. Drive the vehicle for at least 40 seconds at speed at 15 mph (24 km/h) until the TPMS warning telltale is turned off.
  6. After the IDs are memorized, reduce the pressure in all 4 tires to less than the appropriate specification, and check to see that the 4 tire indicators come on.
