Replace dust and pollen filter (see

- If the vehicle is driven mostly in areas that have high concentrations of dust, pollen, or soot in the air, replace every 15, 000 miles (24, 000 km).
- Replace filter whenever airflow from the heating and air conditioning system is less than normal.

Inspect drive belt (see

- Look for cracks and damage, then check the position of drive belt auto-tensioner indicator.

Replace manual transmission fluid (see

- Capacity: 1.9 L (2.0 US qt); use Acura MTF.

Replace automatic transmission fluid (see
ATF REPLACEMENT
)
- Capacity: 2.5 L (2.6 US qt); use Acura ATF DW-1.
- Driving in mountainous areas at very low vehicle speeds or trailer towing results in higher transmission temperatures. This requires transmission fluid changes more frequently than recommended by the Maintenance Minder. If the vehicle is regularly driven under these conditions, change the transmission fluid, at 60, 000 miles (100, 000 km), thereafter every 30, 000 miles (48, 000 km).

Replace spark plugs (see

- Use ILZKR7B-11S (NGK) or SXU22HCR11S (DENSO).

Inspect valve clearance (cold) (see

- Intake: 0.21 -0.25 mm (0.008-0.010 in). Exhaust: 0.25-0.29 mm (0.010-0.011 in).

- Capacity (including the reservoir)
- M/T: 6.3L (1.66USgal)
- A/T: 6.2 L (1.64 US gal)
- Use Acura Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2 and add Honda Extreme Cold Weather Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2 in severe cold temperatures.
