Driver's Power Window Motor Test (2013-18): Test
- Front Door Switch Panel - Remove
1. Remove the driver's door switch panel - Refer to: Front Door Panel Removal and Installation (2013-18), or Front Door Panel Removal and Installation(With BSI Alert Indicator) (2016-18) . - Driver's Power Window Motor - Test
1. Remove the harness clips from the door panel as needed 2. Reconnect the driver's door subharnesses (A), then reinstall the door panel
3. Test the motor in each direction by connecting battery power and ground to the power window master switch connector (B) according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect battery power immediately.
- If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, remove the driver's door regulator , then go to step 4.
- If the motor runs smoothly, go to Hall IC Unit (Pulser) Test.
4. Test the driver's power window motor (A) by connecting battery power and ground according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect battery power immediately.
5. If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, the driver's power window motor is faulty; replace the driver's door regulator .If the motor runs smoothly, replace the wire harnesses or adjust the driver's door glass . - Hall IC Unit (Pulser) Test
1. Remove the door panel, then disconnect the driver's power window motor connector (A) 2. Check for continuity between driver's power window motor connector terminal No. 4 and body ground. There should be continuity.
- If there is continuity, reconnect the motor connector, then go to step 3.
- If there is no continuity, check for an open or high resistance in the BLK wire or poor ground (G501).
3. Reinstall the door panel, then reconnect the power window master switch (A) to the harness connector 4. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode
5. Measure the voltage between the power window master switch connector terminal as shown while the driver's power window is moving up or down.
MTR SVCC circuit
Power window master switch connector No. 13 Body ground - If there is about 10 V, go to step 6.
- If there is no voltage, go to power window master switch input test terminals No. 13, No. 17, and No. 19 .
6. Measure the voltage between the power window master switch connector terminals as shown while the driver's power window is moving up or down. An analog voltmeter should alternate between 0 V and about 5 V (a digital voltmeter should read about 2.5 V).
MTR PLSA and MTR PLSB circuits
Power window master switch connector No. 17 Body ground No. 19 Body ground - If the voltage is as specified, replace the power window master switch .
- If the voltage is not specified, the Hall IC Unit (Pulser) is faulty; replace the driver's door regulator .
7. Install the harness clips to the door panel.
- Front Door Switch Panel - Install
1. Install the driver's door switch panel - Refer to: Front Door Panel Removal and Installation (2013-18), or Front Door Panel Removal and Installation(With BSI Alert Indicator) (2016-18) .
