Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Replacement: Installation
NOTE:
- Be sure to install the harness wires so they are not pinched or interfering with other parts.
- The front passenger's weight sensor are part of the seat frame and must be replaced as assembly.
- Install the removed parts to the new the front passenger's seat frame/front passenger's weight sensors as an assembly (see FRONT SEAT FRAME REPLACEMENT ).
- Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure (see BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION ).
- Clear any DTCs with the HDS (see HOW TO CLEAR DTCS ).
- Do the front passenger's weight sensor initialization (see FRONT PASSENGER'S WEIGHT SENSOR INITIALIZATION ).
- Confirm proper SRS operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
