Console Armrest Damper Replacement

Special Tools Required

KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014*

*Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program; call 888-424-6857

NOTE:

Take care not to scratch the console.
Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

Remove the center console (see CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Remove the console armrest damper (A).
1. Release the hook (B) to separate the console armrest damper holder (C) from the console armrest hinge (D).
2. Remove the screws, then release the hooks (E) and remove the damper from the console frame (F).

If necessary, remove the screws, then separate the armrest damper (A) from the armrest damper base (B).

Install the armrest in the reverse order of removal, and push the hooks into place securely.
