NOTE:
- Take care not to scratch the console.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.
- Remove these items:
- Driver's inner dashboard trim (see DRIVER'S OUTER DASHBOARD TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Passenger's dashboard trim (see PASSENGER'S DASHBOARD TRIM PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Apply protective tape (A) to the console panel along the side edge of the shift lever boot base (B). Pry up on the edge of the shift lever boot base with a flat-tip screwdriver to release the hooks (C).
- Pull out the center console panel (A), the driver's leather trim (B), and the passenger's leather trim (C) as an assembly to detach the clips (D, E). Disconnect the accessory power socket connector (F) and the seat heater switch connectors (G), then remove the panel and the trims as an assembly.
- Remove the screws, then remove the console center panel (A) from the driver's leather trim (B) and the passenger's leather trim (C).
- Install the panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
- Push the clips into place securely.
