Driver's Dashboard Trim Removal/Installation

Special Tools Required

KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014*

*Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program; call 888-424-6857

NOTE:

Take care not to scratch the dashboard or the related parts.
Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

Remove the driver's dashboard side panel (A).
1. Open the front door.
2. Gently pry the bottom edge of the panel with the appropriate trim tool to detach the clips and to release the hooks (B).

Remove the driver's dashboard trim (A).
1. Pry up the edge of the trim at the driver's dashboard side panel opening.
2. Detach the clips.
3. While holding the trim, disconnect the dashlights brightness controller connector (B).

Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
