Countershaft Bearing Replacement

Special Tools Required 

  1. Remove the countershaft bearing from the torque converter housing using the adjustable bearing puller, the bearing remover shaft, and the slide hammer.

  2. Check the ATF guide plate (A), and replace it if it is damaged.

  3. Install a new bearing (B) in the direction shown.
  4. Drive the bearing (A) in the torque converter housing using the driver handle and the bearing driver attachment; install the bearing outer notch-cut (B) to a depth (C) of 0-0.14 mm (0-0.0055 in) below the torque converter housing surface (D).
