Carrier Bearing Replacement

Special Tools Required

Remover Base 48 x 51 mm 07GAF-SD40310

NOTE:

The carrier bearing and the carrier bearing outer race should be replaced as a set.
Inspect and adjust the carrier bearing preload whenever the bearing is replaced.
Check the bearing for wear and rough rotation. If the bearing is OK, removal is not necessary.

Remove the carrier bearing (A) using a commercially available bearing puller (B), a bearing separator (C), and a spacer (D).

Install a new carrier bearing until it bottoms using the remover base and a press.
