Trunk Lid Outer Handle Switch Test/Replacement
- Open the trunk lid, and remove the trunk lid trim (see
TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - TRUNK LID
).
- Disconnect the 3P connector (A) from the trunk lid outer handle switch (B).

- Check for continuity between terminals No. 2 and No. 3.
- With the handle pulled, there should be continuity.
- With the handle released, there should be no continuity.
- If the continuity is not as specified, remove the two bolts and replace the switch.
