Speaker check mode

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  2. Make sure the audio system is turned off.
  3. Push and hold the No. 1 and No. 3 buttons. While holding the buttons, push the VOL PUSH PWR knob to ON. Release the buttons and the speaker check mode begins. A tone should sound from one speaker.
  4. Each time you press the SKIP or CH button, the speaker outputs a beep sound in the listed order.

    Display Specifications 

    With navigation 

    ( ) is pressed: (1)→(2)→(3)→(4)→(5)→(6)→(7)→(8)→(9)

    ( ) is pressed: (1)→(9)→(8)→(7)→(6)→(5)→(4)→(3)→(2)

    Without navigation 

    ( ) is pressed: (1)→(2)→3→4→5→6→7

    ( ) is pressed: (1)→(7)→6→5→4→3→2

    WITH NAVIGATION

      Speaker Displayed Segments Remarks
    (1) Driver's door speaker and left tweeter SPKR FR-L You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (2) Center speaker SPKR CENTER You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (3) Front Passenger's door speaker and right tweeter SPKR FR-R You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (4) Right rear door speaker SPKR RR-R You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (5) Right satellite speaker SPKR SURROUND-R You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (6) Subwoofer SPKR SUBWOOFER You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (7) Left rear door speaker SPKR RR-L You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (8) Left satellite speaker SPKR SURROUND-L You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    (9) All Speakers SPKR ALL
    • You should hear a tone corresponding to the speaker
    • The subwoofer does not sound atone
    WITHOUT NAVIGATION

    NOTE: Any other diagnostic screens are for factory use only.
  5. The speaker check mode ends when you turn the audio system off, or turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
