DTC U0155: Power Seat Control Unit Lost Communication with Gauge Control Module

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A )
  1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS
  2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II)
  3. Wait for 6 seconds or more
  4. Check for DTCs with the HDS

    Is DTC U0155 indicated? 

    YES  -Go to step 5

    NO  -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time Check for loose or poor connections between the power seat control unit and the gauge control module

  5. From the BODY ELECTRICAL system select menu, select UNIT INFORMATION, and then select CONNECTED UNIT

    Is the gauge control module detected? 

    YES  -Go to the power seat control unit input test (see POWER SEAT CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST/REPLACEMENT )

    NO  -Go to step 6

  6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0)
  7. Disconnect the gauge control module 32P connector
  8. Disconnect power seat control unit connector A (40P)
  9. Check for continuity between power seat control unit connector A (40P) terminals No 39 and No 40 and gauge control module 32P connector terminals No 23 and No 24 individually

    Is there continuity? 

    YES  -Replace the gauge control module (see GAUGE CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT )

    NO  -An open or poor connection in the wire between the gauge control module and the power seat control unit
