Input Shaft (Mainshaft) Speed Sensor Replacement

  1. Remove the air intake duct (see THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ) and air cleaner assembly (see AIR CLEANER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  2. Disconnect the input shaft (mainshaft) speed sensor connector.
  3. Install the new O-ring (A) on the new input shaft (mainshaft) speed sensor (B), then install the input shaft (mainshaft) speed sensor in the transmission housing.

  4. Check the connector for rust, dirt, or oil, then connect the connector securely.
  5. Install the air cleaner assembly (see AIR CLEANER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ) and air intake duct (see THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
