Center Console Panel Removal/Installation

Special Tools Required
KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014 *
* Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program, call 888-424-6857
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands
- Take care not to scratch the front seat, the dashboard, or related parts
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage
- Remove the dashboard center trim (see CENTER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Remove the screws securing the center console panel (A)
- A/T: Apply protective tape (A) to the A/T shift panel (B) along the side edge of the shift lever boot base (C) Pry upon the edge of the shift lever trim with a flat-tipped screwdriver wrapped with protective tape to release the hooks (D)
- M/T: Lower the shift lever boot to release the hooks from the boot, then remove the shift knob.
- Detach the clips by pulling the A/T shift panel (A) up Disconnect the seat heater switch connectors (B), and A/T gear shift position indicator light connector (C)
- Detach the clips by pulling the center console panel (A) up Disconnect the accessory power socket connector (B), and remove the center console panel
- Install the console panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items
- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely
