Center Console Panel Removal/Installation

Special Tools Required 

KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014 *

* Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program, call 888-424-6857

NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands
  • Take care not to scratch the front seat, the dashboard, or related parts
  • Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components
  • When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage
  1. Remove the dashboard center trim (see CENTER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
  2. Remove the screws securing the center console panel (A)

  3. A/T: Apply protective tape (A) to the A/T shift panel (B) along the side edge of the shift lever boot base (C) Pry upon the edge of the shift lever trim with a flat-tipped screwdriver wrapped with protective tape to release the hooks (D)

  4. M/T: Lower the shift lever boot to release the hooks from the boot, then remove the shift knob.
  5. Detach the clips by pulling the A/T shift panel (A) up Disconnect the seat heater switch connectors (B), and A/T gear shift position indicator light connector (C)

  6. Detach the clips by pulling the center console panel (A) up Disconnect the accessory power socket connector (B), and remove the center console panel

  7. Install the console panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items
    • Make sure each connector is plugged in properly
    • If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones
    • Push the clips and the hooks into place securely
