DTC B2969: Climate Control Unit Lost Communication with Driver's MICU (WIPSW message)

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in the B-CAN system diagnosis test mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A )
  1. Clear the DTC with the HDS
  2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode and then the ON mode
  3. Wait for at least 6 seconds
  4. Do the self-diagnostic with the HDS (see HOW TO USE THE SELF-DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION WITH THE HDS )
  5. Check the DTCs

    Is DTC B2969 indicated? 

    YES  -Go to step 6

    NO  -Intermittent failure Check for loose wires or poor connections on the climate control unit connector C (20P)

  6. Check for DTCs with the HDS (Do all system scan)

    Are any of the following DTCs indicated, B1958, B1063, or B1156 indicated? 

    YES  -Do the driver's MICU input test (see MICU INPUT TEST )

    NO  -Do the climate control unit power and ground troubleshooting (see CLIMATE CONTROL POWER AND GROUND CIRCUIT TROUBLESHOOTING )
