Error code: XM NO SIGNAL is displayed
- Check the vehicle battery condition first.
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- Check XM radio reception in an open area with good exposure to the southern horizon. Poor reception/ interference can be caused by tall buildings, mountains, or high-voltage power lines.
- Park vehicle outside with a clear view of the southern horizon.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Turn on the audio unit and select XM radio.
Does the XM radio receive a signal?
YES -Reception is normal.
NO -
- With AcuraLink: Go to step 4.
- Without AcuraLink: Go to step 13.
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Check XM antenna 2P connector and AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector B (2P).
Are the connectors connected?
YES -Go to step 6.
NO -Reconnect the XM antenna 2P connector and AcuraLink control unit connector B (2P) connector and recheck XM radio operation. If the signal is restored, the system is OK. If the signal is not restored go to step 6.
- Disconnect AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (20P).
- Measure the voltage between AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (20P) terminal No. 1 and body ground.

Is there battery voltage?
YES -Go to step 8.
NO -Repair open in the wire between No. 7 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box and AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (20P) terminal No. 1.
- Reconnect the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (20P).
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Measure the voltage between AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (20P) terminal No. 11 and body ground.

Is there less than 0.1 V?
YES -Go to step 11.
NO -Repair open in the wire between AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector A (20P) terminal No. 11 and body ground (G604) (see GROUND TO COMPONENTS INDEX ).
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Substitute a known-good XM antenna.
Does the XM radio receive a signal?
YES -Replace the XM antenna (see XM ANTENNA REPLACEMENT ).
NO -Substitute a known-good XM antenna lead. If AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) receives a signal, replace original XM antenna lead. If the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) does not receives a signal, substitute a known-good AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver).
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Check the connection at XM antenna 2P connector and XM receiver connector B (2P).
Is the connectors connected?
YES -Go to step 15.
NO -Reconnect the connectors and recheck XM radio operation. If the signal is restored, the system is OK. If the signal is not restored go to step 15.
- Measure the voltage between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 1 and body ground.

Is there battery voltage?
YES -Go to step 16.
NO -Repair open in the wire between No. 7 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box and XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 1.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Measure the voltage between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 11 and body ground.

Is there less than 0.1 V?
YES -Go to step 18.
NO -Repair open in the wire between connector A (14P) terminal No. 11 and body ground (G604).
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Substitute a known-good XM antenna.
Does the XM radio receives signal?
YES -Replace the XM antenna (see XM ANTENNA REPLACEMENT ).
NO -Substitute a known-good XM antenna lead. If XM receiver receives signal, replace original XM antenna lead. If the XM receiver does not receives signal, substitute a known-good XM receiver.
