Fuel Fill Door Opener Replacement

NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Take care not to scratch the body.
  1. Remove the front door sill trim, left side (see step 3 in TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - DOOR AREAS ).
  2. Remove the screw and release the hooks (A), then remove the fuel fill door opener cover (B).

  3. Remove the bolt.

  4. Loosen the bolt (A), and remove the opener (B) from the bolt.
  5. Disconnect the fuel fill door opener cable (A), then remove the opener (B). Take care not to kink the cable.

  6. Install the opener in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • Make sure the opener cable is connected properly.
    • Make sure the fuel fill door opens properly and latches securely.
