DTC B1601: Keyless Access Control Unit Internal (CPU) Error; DTC B1602: Keyless Access Control Unit Internal (EEPROM) Error

  1. Disconnect the battery terminal for 10 seconds to clear the DTCs, then reconnect the battery terminal.
  2. Touch the door outer handle switch to lock the door.
  3. Touch the door outer handle switch to unlock the door.
  4. Connect the HDS to the data link connector.
  5. Turn the ignition switch OFF, and then back ON (II).
  6. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    Is DTC B1601 and/or B1602 indicated? 

    YES  - Replace the keyless access control unit.

    NO  - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
