DTC 66: VSA Pressure Sensor (Inside of VSA Modulator-Control Unit)

  1. Clear the DTC using the HDS (see HOW TO CLEAR DTCS ).
  2. Remove the HDS from the 16P DLC.
  3. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then turn it ON (II).
  4. Test-drive the vehicle.

    Does the ABS indicator come on, and is DTC 25, 26, 27, or 64 indicated? 

    1. YES  - Do the appropriate troubleshooting for the DTC.
    2. NO  - Go to step  5.
  5. Do the VSA SENSOR NEUTRAL POSITION MEMORIZATION  .
  6. Clear the DTC using the HDS (see HOW TO CLEAR DTCS ).
  7. Disconnect the HDS from the 16P DLC.
  8. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then turn it ON (II).
  9. Test-drive the vehicle.

    Does the ABS indicator come on, and is DTC 66 indicated? 

    1. YES  - Check for loose terminals in the VSA modulator-control unit 47P connector and repair if necessary. If the connections are OK, replace the VSA modulator-control unit (see VSA MODULATOR-CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
    2. NO  - The system is OK at this time.
