DTC B1829: A/T P Signal and VSS Signal Mismatch
NOTE:
If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN system diagnosis test mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A
).
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Remove the No. 6 (7.5 A) fuse from the under-dash fuse/relay box, then reinstall the fuse.
- Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
- Operate the power seat with the driving position memory switch.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1829 indicated?
- YES - Go to step 6.
- NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Check for power seat/power mirror DTCs with the HDS.
Are there any DTCs?
- YES - Go to indicated DTCs troubleshooting.
- NO - Go to step 7.
- Check for ECM/PCM DTCs (see GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION
).
Is any DTC indicated?
- YES - Go to ECM/PCM indicated DTCs troubleshooting.
- NO - Substitute a known-good power seat control unit and reset. If the symptom DTC is still preset; replace the gauge control module.
