- Remove the roof console (see ROOF CONSOLE REPLACEMENT ).
- Measure the resistance between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals of roof console 20P connector in each switch position according to the table.TERMINALS REFERENCE CHART
Position Resistance EMERGENCY About 200 Ω ONSTAR About 400 Ω CALL ANSWER/END About 800 Ω VOICE ACTIVATION About 1.55 kΩ OFF About 1.55 kΩ - If the resistance is not as specified, replace the button.
- Check the LEDs continuity between the No. 7, No. 15 and No. 14 terminals of roof console connector (28P). There should be continuity.
- If the continuity check is not as specified, replace the button.
